How to Migrate Off Salesforce Without Losing Your Data

The number one reason people stay stuck on Salesforce isn't the software - it's fear. "We have years of data in there. What if we lose it?" Fair. So here's exactly how a real migration works, step by step, with nothing lost.

1. Export everything

Contacts, accounts, opportunities, activities, notes, and attachments all come out of Salesforce - not just the obvious tables. A good migration accounts for the history and the files, not only the names and numbers.

2. Clean and map it

Data doesn't just get dumped into the new system. It gets mapped field-to-field, deduplicated, and cleaned up along the way. This is the step amateurs skip and regret - and it's where years of data-migration experience actually matters.

3. Run both in parallel

The new CRM goes live alongside Salesforce. You and your team use it for real work while the old one is still there as a safety net. Nothing gets switched off until you trust the new system completely.

4. Cut over - and cancel the bill

Once you're confident, we flip the switch, point everyone at the new system, and you cancel Salesforce. That recurring charge disappears, and your data is exactly where it should be.

That's the whole thing. Less scary than the bill you're avoiding it for. When you're ready, here's how the escape works - or let's talk through your data.
